Anyone else find it interesting that Burgess a well respected coach and recruiter who will be a HC someday, left BYU and Mark Pope for Utah for better pay and I believe to coach in a P5 conference. Then came back to BYU for better pay and to coach in the best MBB conference there is.

So we know now he was willing to leave Utah.

But he had to have either never received an offer from Pope to rejoin his staff at UK, which is nationally known and proven to be one of, or THE greatest basketball programs in the country. And a great opportunity for an assistant to get hired by other good/big time programs to be their HC.

Or he turned down an offer from Pope to join his staff. And instead came to BYU.

You have to assume UK would be able to pay more right?
