a buddy got his daughter a cat. He ended up hating that cat so much. It was causing all kinds of trouble. He wanted to get rid of it but couldn't find anyone to take it. Not condoning this, but he drove from Highland to West Lehi (like 10 miles away or more?) and let the cat go in a neighborhood (and told his daughter it ran away).

A couple of weeks later, the cat showed up back at their house. Incredible. They still have it.
