Riverbottoms if you can afford it. I would take that over Alpine but I also get
the appeal of alpine as well.
If you can’t afford it, I would get an older home in Provo (Indian Hills or by Timpview) compared to a new home elsewhere.
I think NE Provo/Orem with access to the canyon, BYU, Riverside, riverwoods, etc with minimal traffic is tough to beat (including anywhere in or out of the state).
