TNT Intervention Needed
Justified
Season 2. Just watched the episode where Loretta notices her daddy's watch on Koover's hand. The last 15 minutes of that episode the tension is palatable. It's about as good as television gets.

Been watching some of the special features (thank you optical discs. A man's, who is not married to Lynda Carter, best friend) for season 2. One of the features is interviews from the cast.

Mags and Loretta were originally supposed to be secondary characters throughout the season. But Margo Martindale's (Mags) and Kaitlyn Dever's (Loretta) were so good the producers knew the needed to be in the season more at the forefront of the season.

Pretty much all of the cast praised how good Martindale was. Tim Olyphant mentioned how it was a coup that they were able to get her for the role.

Graham Yost and the writing team came up with the idea for Apple Pie. Yost said that when they went out and visited Kentucky and talked to residents they were actually given Moonshine. They said this gave them for the idea for Apple Pie and the arc for the season.

Margo said that when she read the script for season 2 she wanted to be cast badly. She said the writing was just so good. She also said that Kaitlyn is one of the most talented actresses she has ever worked with.

Elmore Leonard continued to write for the series going forward.

Jeremy Davies (Dickie) had been campaigning hard for getting cast during the 1st season because he loved Elmore Leonard's novels and loved working with Graham Yost. Yost said they were going to cast him but weren't sure which part he would end up playing.

Both Damon Herriman (Dewey - still strange to hear that Australian accent) and Kevin Rankin (Devil) talked about how much they have enjoyed working with Walt Goggins.

Yost said that whatever dialogue you have written for Boyd that Walt is going to make it even better than what is on the page.

Joelle Carter (Ava) says you have to bring your A game when you have scenes with Walt. Because he is intense, but in a good way, and will bring a lot to the performance.

Walt Goggins (still weird to hear him talk like a Utah CBer) said that he imagines that people are curious what is going to happen to Ava and Boyd going forward. And then he says, while looking directly at the camera, that he anticipates people will be looking forward to them robbing some banks.
