For a while it would be just like climbing down a ladder, but gradually start
to feel like you were crawling backwards on a ladder, as the gravity decreased. Towards the middle it would be pretty easy going since you'd be in near weightlessness. But then it would be like crawling backwards on a ladder with a gentile incline, followed by a steeper and steeper incline, and finally like climbing up a ladder inverted, on your hands, which I image would be quite difficult.

You'd be weightless in the center of the core. The mass of the earth would be pulling you in every direction equally.
