They have been convincing themselves that a few Rose Bowl losses, some ill-perceived weakness of the PAC 12 and last year’s injury-laden season, somehow lead to Utah getting destroyed this year in the big 12.

The logic to go something like this, if Utah loses Ohio State, Penn State at Florida or Oregon, it means they are going to lose To most their schedule with the likes of Iowa State, Houston, BYU and UCF.

It’ll be interesting to see how that plays out.

I think it’s an uphill battle to win any team conference with so much parity. It’s critical to temper expectations, but 7-8, maybe 9 wins seems most likely.
