It can be fun to follow recruiting a bit for football or basketball and such . . . until you go through the yo-yo a few times, and then you just kind of throw up your hands. It's all pretty fluid from one day or season to the next. Transfer portal chaos.

All of these recruits you note above seemed like the promising future of BYU basketball for years to come just one year ago. Now? Most likely none of them will ever be in a BYU blue uniform - but, wait, there's more! Transfer portal means that ANY of these players could end up at BYU in as little as one year! Who knows?

Yeah, it's crazy making. We all need to do ourselves a favor - welcome them in when they come, and actually practice and play. Beyond that, don't hold your breath on any recruit, whether HS or portal or international.
