There were a couple of easy merit badges to give that have a nod to diversity or whatnot, but the whole apparatus with activities and scout camps was all the same. In fact, my son had a far more involved, richer experience than I ever did. There were no girls in his troop, no "wokeism," however one wants to define that. A lot of great, positive male role models, and the teaching of independence and traditional outdoor skills.
If you have a son who likes the outdoor stuff, you might consider finding a troop that shares your values and giving it a try. You might be positively surprised.
