I remember 1981 working at Sears. The Saturday of "The Game" it was crickets in
the store. You could count on your hand the number of customers in the store. Almost everybody was home watching The Game. If you've never lived that, it would be hard to understand.

I remember we had a YA temple trip from Ohio to Washington DC. We rented a bedroom from a senior missionary couple from Alabama. After we were done at the temple, we went to their apartment. The brother was watching the Alabama vs Auburn game. Auburn was the underdog and so I sat there cheering for the War Eagles. He was getting madder and madder. I finally realized I needed to stop or he was going to blow a gasket, as Auburn was in the process of upsetting Bama.

I don't like how the B1G and SEC are trying to control everything. It's pure and simple wrong, but I'd probably have a lot more skin in the game if I didn't have my B1G past.
