Let’s not sugar coat it. It’s a detractor in attracting talent. If I’m a non LDS kid that has offers from BYU, Kentucky, Duke, Gonzaga, I’m definitely not picking BYU even if Popovich is coach and I’m getting offered double the money. The risk of getting kicked out of school for doing normal 18 year old boy things is not worth it. Kids know what happened to Davies.
