preservatives or anything. You’d just buy a loaf and it would be stale or moldy soon, but lasted a bit longer as you’d only slice off slices as you needed them.
Anyway, while I was there the baker finally got a bread slicer and we could finally buy sliced bread.
The best part of which was the fact that for a whole week, whenever I was taking to another missionary about something great I could say:
“Man, that’s the best thing since… well, Tuesday, I guess.”
