We have a glut of potatoes in Idaho this year, after two years of record prices
we are back to really low prices. Last year a 50lb box potatoes that the restaurants buy was right around $30, this year it's around $7. A bale with 5 10lb bags in it, a 5/10, was around $12 last year and we are as low as $2.00 this year, that's $.40 for ten pounds. We need retailers to run ads so we can get through the crop, some are but not enough. I'm not real sure about other commondies but if they are in the same boat I would expect some prices to start coming down.
