Maybe for a non-revenue sport or a developing department w/in Math or Chemistry?
Glad he did well though. I know some highly qualified applicants who weren't accepted so they attended somewhere else then transferred to BYU but BYU didn't reach out to them. BYU does reach out to ultra-top scholars so maybe if he'd applied before then they'd looked again.
