This was back in the infancy of solar panels. The individual conducting our training told us some of the "crafty" things we should do to get the sale. We broke for lunch and I never went back.
I worked in the last 10 years for a company in Pleasant Grove that dealt with health products. I was there for 1.25 years. At first the owner was the greatest person you ever knew. I needed the job. I did accounting and installed a new inventory tracking system, but then I was put over receiving and shipping, which meant I had to load and unload every truck and move our inventory around in the warehouse. If more than one person on the production line called off, I would fill in doing production.
The company hired me because they had plans for a lot of expansion with the introduction of a new product line from Mike Tyson. It never took off and then, rather than lay me off, the two principals in the company (husband and wife who had owned the company, but had sold it 2 months before I started, but lied and told me they had added a partner) began to make life tough. They'd accuse me of the most bizarre stuff and made life unbearable. I should have hurried and found a new job, because I could see the writing on the wall. I so hate the job changing process that I didn't do anything and they did eventually lay me off. I was so relieved when they did that, and that I never would have to go back to the company.
I found a job within a month and I'm making double what I was. I'm commuting a bit more, but it's night and day. Such a bad memory of that time at that company.
