Some of that is true, for sure. Much of it is probably how people prioritize
weight.

Would I rather be thin or drink 32 ounces of Coke today?
Would I rather be thin or smother my food in needless sauces?
Would I rather be thin or eat that piece of cake?

I think many people want to eat more than they want to be thin. I won't belittle them for that. I've got issues with certain types of food. For example, I'll eat a whole large bucket of popcorn by myself at a movie theater. It's almost uncontrollable. The only way I can resist it is to not put myself around popcorn.
I have the same issue with watermelon and pineapple.

Fortunately, decisions like that aren't put in front of my daily. If they were, I'd need more willpower to resist them.

When I decline things like cake or icecream at social events, I'm frequently told I should indulge because people like me don't need to worry about what they eat. It makes me laugh. I'm thin because I'd rather be thin than overeat treats.
