Yes and his porous defense was the reason he left for OSU.
In 2012, they had 5 games in which they allowed 34+ points (1-4). Same in 2012 (0-5).
In the 2013 road game at UW, they scored 37 but still lost by 12. Earlier in the season, they lost 48-51, at home, to Oregon State.
As a result of those seasons, Chris Hill decided not to automatically issue a 2-year renewal of every defensive coach. He decided to wait until the result of the 2014 season. It wasn’t that they lost games, it was the many in which they lost.
