I would only go for 6.25 guaranteed if I was ~5 years or less from retirement
Everyone’s risk tolerance is different… but you can basically guarantee 8-10% in diversified stock portfolio looking over 10 years.
There are good reasons to pay down principal on a mortgage. Long term investment it’s a bad reason.
