There isn’t a benefit. Fans speculate, insiders leak info, media needs clicks.
There is an obvious demand for it and the media always wants to be the first to break any news, they don’t care if it’s accurate.
WHO is saying it benefits the coach/team/school by it happening?
If the player is a top level talent then multiple teams will be fighting for him. Kevin Young isn’t going to fly under the radar with top rated euro guys and 4 & 5 star recruits…
Information leaking will always happen and no one is going to ever stop that from happening. Fans will be fans ie Cougar Board.
Why are you blaming fans for sharing info they were given by insiders? Blame the recruits and insiders for leaking the info. Not the fans.
