asked about this has reiterated the importance of the performing arts to downtown and has emphatically stated that the Utah Symphony will still have a home at Abravanel Hall downtown. Now, they have mentioned that the hall is overdue for a renovation and it's possible that the venue may be renoed or even rebuilt. But the Utah Symphony won't be without a home downtown and I 100% expect that their venue will be folded into whatever the vision is for the entertainment district. To me, I would think incorporating Abravanel Hall, the Salt Palace, and the Museum of Art into an entertainment district would only add to the area giving more forms of "entertainment" for the zone.
