I agree, but the Waterman thing doesn't appear to fit this. At least according
to the report, KY didn't push him out, but intended on starting him next season.
I think it may be Waterman just trying to leveraging the portal to get more money from the BYU NIL collective, like Hall and Saunders. That's my hope, at least. And he also needed to hit the portal in order to maintain flexibility if KY is suddenly able to bring in more talent at his position.
