I've especially been impressed with the faculty involvement that I've seen. That said I don't really have anything to compare it to. I never thought of going to a school to challenge oneself, it was always more of just to get a degree and move on with life. Maybe my grades would have been better if I had thought about it differently.

For me, the big advantage to UVU would be that it is affordable, close to home, and would hopefully allow my kids to socialize with BYU students and transfer easily if the opportunity provided itself. I do wish UVU students could still get ROC passes.
