I like Drake, but I agree with you. Here is how I perceive future expansion:
No current P4 school wants to join the Big12. I see no way North Carolina, Clemson, or FSU would ever join the big12.
Every Big12 and ACC team would join the SEC or Big10 if invited.
Every G5 team (including OSU and WSU) would join the Big12 if invited.
Some ACC schools may reluctantly join the Big12 if the top 3-4 ACC teams go to the SEC or Big10.
Basically the big12 needs to fight to end up being the third best power conference when the dust settles.
