Experience matters much more than continuity.
Last year there was a correlation of .610 between KenPom rating and Player Experience. There was only a correlation of .195 between KenPom rating and Minutes Continuity from previous year.

Looking deeper at the numbers, it seems as if minutes continuity does matter to a degree, but only up to a certain point. I'm not going to "run the numbers" on it, but it seems as if those that were the absolute worst in the nation in terms of minutes continuity generally struggled. Of the teams in the bottom 50-100 for continuity, very few of them had top 100 teams with only 3 of the bottom 70 being NCAA tournament at-large teams. Once you get outside that bottom group, however, there doesn't seem to be any correlation whatsoever between continuity and performance.
