only has a year left on his contract. The only way he is likely playing in Denver after this season is if he's gone all full Dan Marino under Peyton's tutelage. Not likely. Otherwise, Nix is who Peyton spent a fair amount of draft capital on.
Please, if you see me discussing Zach's situation in Denver again, rest assured that I already know that Zach's days there were pre-numbered when Denver traded for him. He is merely, at best, a place holder for this season only until the rookie can get up to speed. My hope is that he doesn't blow that chance to even be the place holder as Zach needs about a half dozen starts minimum this season in order to get any kind of decent contract after this season with some team other than Denver.
So when I talk about Zach beating out Nix, I'm only talking about Zach holding off a 6th QB taken in the draft during that QB's rookie campaign. If Zach can't do that, he's not NFL worthy.
