Honestly I’d feel bad taking money from someone like that. Knowing his car is probably worth much closer to $70k
Even if it needed new tires…big deal.
If he needs the money and you don’t really want the car, at least not at FMV, just tell him. He could easily sell it for $65k in less than a day. Assuming it is still in good condition.
