perplexed about the Isaac Davis outcome, especially when we still have so many roster spots to fill. And a guy who was TOTALLY committed to BYU for many months, even after the coaching changes, and who looks like an absolute star in the making, how can you not do what ever it takes to keep him in the fold. He's like a man among boys out there, a willing and capable passer, and I have rarely been more excited about a Big coming to BYU than I was about ID, and I'm not alone in that.
Unless he / or his dad demanded a guaranteed starting role (which would seem totally out of character for either), I remain perplexed that they chose to go elsewhere this late in the game. Indeed, we may not have all the info (actually do not have the info) with which to make any hard fast conclusions, but it's hard for me to envision a scenario which would result in this outcome, when the family was so die hard BYU committed, with deep BYU ties, and the player so promising on so many fronts.
