They all attend mandatory financial literacy courses and many seem to hire reputable people to help them. Many of the current and former players talk to rookies about the pitfalls of players in the past. They look to others who have gained that financial experience. It seems better than it used to be.

But early money and success has always been a recipe for trouble.
