And it's probably valid, but again, I'm really curious what the overall benefit would be from elimination of other taxes, increased efficiency of the tax system as a whole, etc. Would it end up as a net-positive for poorer classes? I don't know, but it would be interesting to see a study of potential benefits & costs.

And the Democrats want lower-income people to pay no taxes AND for wealthy people to pay much more taxes, but it's unlikely that they can have both of those.
