Global political propaganda through the 80s still has an audience.

The Olympics are the definition of an absolutely corrupt organization, top to bottom. A group of obscure individuals coordinates a low-transparency selection process to supposedly facilitate athletic competition but in reality is a mafia payoff mechanism through construction contracts.

The sooner we shut the current Olympic format down the better. Build 3 or 4 permanent competition venues around the world, rotate through them and be done with the graft and payola.

Also, the PED situation is laughable, just let people juice themselves up on whatever they want.
