I thought I read somewhere that this would be released on Thursday. I don't know how useful it will be (across the street is certainly different from a body cam), but it will be interesting to see.

It's a tricky needle to thread - if the case is dropped, some will argue that it's because of his celebrity, or wealth, or race. But without any footage (or good footage, at least), it's as you describe, a he said/she said situation. What purpose is served by pushing this forward? And then you factor in potential grandstanding by the politicians, relationship with the police, etc. - not an easy decision on how to proceed.
