I have some concerns.

I been thinking the past couple of days how much of the BYU pitch has been the NBA development (I believe it's not negligible) and how much of it is outbidding the blue bloods in NIL. (I also don't think this is negligible.)

If the latter is significant, I wonder how long this is sustainable? Say we shovel tons of money into these players and they don't pan out the way we thought. Will we lose faith in the coach or the NIL bargaining chip first? If it's the latter, will we land these recruits in the future?

Also, how much of the NIL money is taking away from football? Is BYU betting on basketball success as they know football has more of an uphill climb as we have momentum on our side?
