Haha I’m in a somewhat similar situation. I gave a 4 weeks notice to the clinic
I work at at the end of March. They demanded 90 days and threatened to sue me and turn me into the board for patient abandonment. Ended up settling on about 2 months and they’d pay out my 100 hours of pto.

Then last week I start seeing patients who I have already seen, made a plan of transition of care, and given refills for three months back 1 month later. These patients tell me they were told they had to make 1 month follow ups.

I bring it up to the CEO that I have concerns of insurance fraud which he vehemently denies but still demands of these patients being seen.

I just can’t figure out why they had to have me stay when they didn’t have a plan to keep me busy and now are engaging in shady practices to keep me busy.
