LeBron had 2,081 points scored in the playoffs through his age 25 season.
Tatum is at 2,515 through his age 25 season currently, with a minimum of 4 games left but likely 8 or more still to go. 8 more games at his 25 ppg average would leave him with >2700 playoff points. He will likely be 38th on the all-time playoff scoring list when this postseason ends, just ahead of Ray Allen.

Celtics should be really good again next year. Another long postseason run and 500+ more points for Tatum would move him past the following players: Ewing, Parish, Barkley, Westbrook, Kawhi, Drexler, Miller, Paul, Worthy, Klay, Manu, Dr J, Pierce, and McHale (among others). He'd be all the way up to 22nd after his age 26 season.

LeBron's age 26 season was his first in Miami and started an absurd run of consecutive Finals appearances. Being healthy enough and being on good enough teams for that long seems nearly impossible for anyone else, even before considering he's not yet done adding to his total. So Tatum sniffing the all-time playoff scoring mark isn't going to happen. But the gap from James (8162) to Jordan (5987) is massive. Can Tatum get that high by the time he's done?
