I'm building a house and had a framer lined up who said he was in the process of getting his contractor license and would have it in hand by the time we needed him. He didn't do it so now we're a few weeks away from framing with no licensed framer (he could get his license, but enough people are hiring him without so he just hasn't bothered). He is happy to do the work without a license but doesn't seem to care that both he and I could be at risk of serious fines and I'm not willing to do that.

So here I am, looking for a framer... I hate both the regulations and those who cheat.
