Cryptonomicon or Ananthem if you liked Snow Crash by Stephenson
The first three books of the Aubrey/Maturin series by Patrick O’Brian (Master and Commander is the first) were free for a while. Discovered Guy Gabriel Kay based on Sanderson’s recommendation, really liked the Sarantine Mosaic duo and Under Heaven.
