Almost no one who uses it explains what they actually mean. Do they mean ChatGPT helping people draft documents / make images / make videos? Do they mean that a computer overlord starts making key decisions related to our infrastructure? Who knows. They just namedrop "AI" for everything. For example:

AI street light timing
AI flood warnings
AI water management
AI infrastructure inspections with robots and drones
AI rat population management
AI curb management
AI RFP proposal writing
AI proposal responses
AI proposal response evaluation (at some point doesn't this mean a computer wrote the proposal, the response, and the evaluation??)

I wouldn’t be surprised if someone brought up AI toilets or something.

Don't get me started on the use of the word "Equity" and the word "Inclusion." We're in NYC so it doesn't surprise me but who knew those three words ("AI" "Equity" "Inclusion") could be used so many times in 2 days.
