Don't know. Many people with AH's also have schizophrenia. My nephew was having AH's and we all thought he was
literally going crazy. He was eventually diagnosed as being schizophrenic, got put on stabilizing drugs and is fairly normal now.

What he was going through while he was still undiagnosed was very scary for those around him. He always thought he was being stalked by people that wanted to kill him. Wasn't an easy thing to deal with. I had to call his parents (my sister) and his brothers and sisters and tell them all what was going on with him. He had to be institutionalized for a while.
