Going to Mesa Verde NP this weekend. Any recommendations for the area? Food, hikes, sites, etc?

Take food. There is nothing around that place for a lot of miles. A lot.

I think it is Cortez. We came from Durango. Well worth the visit but like I said, a long long way from anywhere.

Coming from Durango it is Mancos which has nothing. Family Dollar and if still

Don't rely on getting this the day of your visit. The dwellings are awesome and were the highlight of our visit
