NBA coaching jobs are so weird
Coaches just come and go these days. Doesn’t really matter your success. One bad season of no conference finals appearance and your gone. No more 10+ year stints as an NBA HC. Frank Vogel for example. He had success in LA (a title) but had one season where they missed the playoffs and then he got the boot. He only got one season in PHX. Mike Budenholzer. He won a chip but never made it back and they only gave him 3 years after the title. Then Adrian Griffin. Their defense was not his fault. JD Bickerstaff today. He had two seasons with this core and never made a conference finals. There was a lot of injuries that didn’t help. I’m just saying coaches take waaaay too much blame these days. A lot of the instances are on the players (Milwaukee) and/or health (Phoenix, Cleveland). Players don’t get enough blame and the organizations just default to coaches because it’s the easiest person to blame. It’s so stupid.
