I had joined the Church the year before, and I was spending a week with one of the missionaries that had taught and baptized me. We were walking in the town when one of this guy's friends went driving by in his pickup truck yelling obscenities and flipping off this former missionary. My guy starts yelling cuss words back and flips him off too. I'm standing there shell-shocked. I never imagined a missionary doing that. He looks at me and says, "What? That's how we say hello out here in Utah." I believe he was serious.
