Ryen asked whether the way BYU used Fred has helped him be as good as he is and Fred gave a resounding yes. He said it was interesting when he was going through the predraft process, some teams weren’t sure how to think about him since he played almost like a DE role under Bronco and then as a nickel under Kalani. But he confirmed that his versatility and exposure to different positions has really helped him.
