Finished season 4. So good.

Was watching some of the bonus features. Fred Golan (producer and writer) calls the Raylan-Boyd relationship "friendly enemies." Almost a perfect description.

Originally one of the writers wanted to have Raylan draw down on Nicky Augustine in the limo. But Tim Olyphant and Graham Yost didn't want to repeat the Tommy Bucks situation in the pilot so they came up with how it plays out in the final.

TNT has a theory that Graham Yost (creator) not being involved in City Primeval was part of the reason why that mini-series wasn't quite as good. He and Tim Olyphant just seemed to have good instincts on keeping the show consistent and true to Elmore Leonard's novels original novel.
