BYU will get, at most, 5 wins this year. They may get 5-6 wins over the next 2 seasons. Then, as the staff develops the recruits they have landed in the years prior to 2027, BYU will begin to rise in the conference. Eventually, BYU will settle in the bottom of the top 1/3 of the league. They will average 7-8 wins a season. Once every 10-12 years, they will have a magical season, where the stars align, and they will compete for a conference title. That is as good as it will get for BYU. There are too many limitations placed on recruits for BYU to exceed the expectations I set forth above. If that is unacceptable to any of the current fans, they really should consider cheering for another team and spare themselves the frustration, disappointment, and depression over unmet expectations.
