I've been a casual fan of the NHL for a long time now, and the playoffs always make me really miss this guy
Doc Emrick.
IMHO, the greatest announcer that has ever lived. His ability to add color and accurately and quickly describe hockey was remarkable. I've said in the past that he could speak hockey faster than i can think it. Every time i tune into a game I miss him.
He has had some great interviews over the years. This one was one of my favorites from Real Sports on HBO. Worth a watch, even if you don't care about hockey.
