I don’t look like Skellitor either
Testimonial on Mounjaro, or Worshipful Celebratory Ode to the Gila Monsters

I know a few haters and skeptics are out there for these new GLP-1 medications, like I used to be. But my good doc and wife got me to experiment here. Here’s the tale of the tape, or the facts Jack for yours truly:

October 2023:
On CPAP for 7 year raging case of sleep apnea
A1C 6.9
Resting heart rate 80
Weight 320
ED treated with irritating chewables
Blood pressure average 156/110
Painful knees
Edema in lower legs
TIA and minor heart attack history
Pre Diabetic, or Diabetic depending on definition
Back issues with compressed disks
Spending 800 a month fast food & eating out
Neuropathy symptoms making sleep difficult
Golf and basketball limited function

May 2024
CPAP in a landfill
A1C 4.0
Resting heart rate 60
Weight 250
ED gone and newlywed renaissance going down
Blood Pressure 130/80
Knee pain gone
Diabetes gone
EKG normal
Back issues gone
cost of meds made up by food savings
Neuropathy reversed
Walk 18, scores in the 70’s back
When I make the FT for EQ basketball no one is disappointed anymore

Family history through the Ballard line, lots of grossly obese issues. (Family reunions consisted of sitting around in a backyard in Springville watching 400 lb aunts and uncles totter around.) Fasting is effortless. I can run and not be weary, and walk and not faint. The prospects for my wife and I to have a happy and productive retirement have gone up exponentially in a few months.

Only negative has been to have to remind myself to drink enough water to avoid clogged up bowels. Self control is great, I’d been a religious gym guy for 7 years after my heart episode, and made occasional weight loss goals, but adding a little Gila Monster venom to the plan has been amazing.

It is the snake oil that works, the actual fountain of youth, the miracle cure, all in a little once a week injection. Getting cost down and insurance to pay for it should be an urgent national priority.

Gila Monsters you humble little heroes!
