I knew it would happen. Company policy for everyone who leaves to join the cross-town competitor. The HR lady who escorted me out was very nice about it. My boss was out of town that day, but I talked to him on the phone later. I went in the night before to get my personal stuff out of my office. Seemed dumb. If I'd wanted to commit industrial espionage or sabotage it wouldn't have stopped me.
