that's not totally correct with how the portal works. Kentucky landed most of
their guys by having a good program, good NIL, and then having a good recruiting pitch in that narrow window from when guys go into the portal until they commit.
Pope didn't/doesn't have a really strong relationship with most of the guys on his roster now, but he is a good recruiter and hopes to build a strong relationship with them.
