When Minnesota went small with Anderson to try to switch everything on the possession that ended with the Kyrie 3 they were talking about how going small made Minnesota look like the ‘85 Bears and how that is obviously the way they needed to be playing. They gave up an open corner 3 to Kyrie and all 3 were gushing about how good the defense was.

I think it was the next possession for Dallas when Rudy got stuck on Luka up top, shaded him heavy on his left to force him right…which is what Grant Williams said you absolutely have to do when he was on the broadcast in the 3rd quarter. That possession ended in a tough shot and no points…and the broadcast crew didn’t even notice Rudy’s defense because they were going on about something else the whole time.

Then of course Luka hit the winner and they all came out of their seats mocking the DPOY. It’s just bizarre how jaded so many in the game are toward Gobert.
