Old, guitar-riff based rock is a pretty good definition.
Like I said, "my" definition is probably similar to yours, but we're old, we don't get to own the term, unfortunately.
If Arrow 103.5 is playing it, it's classic rock. Yeah, they play some Nirvana and PJ now.
