I got a 3DR Solo years ago when it came out and was the buzz, but it was a one and done model and is quite antiquated in 2024. I haven't flown it in some time.

DJI has been killing it ever since and I finally decided to jump back in with both feet and get the "Cadillac" Mavic. I'm absolutely blown away at the image stabilization, the features, etc. I knew what to expect from all the samples I'd seen online, but to actually use it in person was a trip. It feels like military tech in something that folds up into the size of a large burrito.

I got my FAA drone registration, TRUST certificate, and am scheduling my flights with LAANC authorization in the AutoPylot app. (I think I'm doing it correctly) Looking at going for Part 107 probably. I'm really pleased that the FAA hasn't squashed drone flying and as long as you stay within the rules there is a lot of places you can fly.

Any tips or advice from people that have been flying for a while?
